Leakage

Causes for leakage:

1) Over-filling with water. Only add water to 1/4' below the bottom of the fill well in the cell cover opening, ONLY AFTER CHARGING.
2) Filling with water before charging. Never water before charging unless to cover exposed cells, then only add to 1/8' above plates, then water after charging.
3) Wet filters inside the caps caused by tilting the batteries will not dry out by themselves. Caps should be replaced. Flooded batteries should never be tilted such that fluid is allowed to leak into the cap filters.
